about

Over two weekends in March and April 1999, Four Horse Town enjoyed the mild conditions of beautiful Stanthorpe. There's a bloke named Chook who owns the property called "Tuxedo Junction" and on this lies the old Stanthorpe Iceworks. Sound-trooper Andy realised that this would be an ideal location for the band to record some tunes, perhaps inspired by Neil Young's 'Harvest' LP.

After a quick band meeting over a few beers, the beige whale was packed and on it way to "Tuxedo Junction". We were spoilt by an abundance of friends and local hospitality, namely Joan, Zoe, Nathan, Anita and the kids.

The shed became our home as we toiled relentlessly to meet our deadline. Recording if not competing in friendly ping-pong, tired if not asleep, hungover if not drunk, hungry if not experiencing fantastic barbie treats but most of all cold if not clinging for our lives to the furnace. To conclude this recording experience we were privileged to be joined by the locals for a party and rockin' country hoe-down. It was back to the city for us folks with "Tuxedo Junction" now a sweet memory that has been framed for your listening pleasure and enjoyment.
