about

Silent Partners were an improvised experimental musical group sometimes consisting of 1-3 core members, and other times consisting of a whole stage or studio filled with musicians from the metal, jazz, hip hop, punk and folk scenes.

Silent Partners never used their names, and used masks and face paint to stay anonymous. The band had somewhere between 20-30 members throughout its 8 year lifespan.

Members of bands like The Red Paintings, Headkase, The Art and even Thonk could be seen jamming together on stage at various venues, experimental music gigs, art gallery shows, metal shows and other random events.

All recordings and live performances were improvised for the listening measure of the audience. That’s not a typo. It was not for your listening pleasure. It was music for your listening “measure”.

Enjoy the soothing and disturbing sounds of Silent Partners from early 2000s Brisbane.
